Tokai University Online Workshop
“Challenges of Marine Observations and Development of International
Collaboration”

                      Graduate School of Oceanography, Tokai University

Institute of Oceanic Research and Development, Tokai University (IORD)
will hold an online workshop with the aim of developing new ocean research
in the Anthropocene. In this workshop, we will discuss the potentials of
observatory networks for detecting and elucidating previously less-understood
active geological, biological and environmental processes such as
flood-triggered turbidity current which are conspicuous in the region
from the Suruga Trough to Nankai Trough plate boundary and related areas.
Furthermore, we would like to discuss the impact of such research
developments on the SDGs and global partnership.
